Creativebloke No longer works with IE6 ....

….and is happy not to. Back when I used to be a web designer in the early days of this decade. Cross Browser compliancy was the pain of my life, and the culprit was IE6. For reasons why we must get rid of this plague on us all check out the ie6nomore site.

Blog catalog is paying worth it?

The short answer is that for the money, $6, a paid subscription to blog catalog does seem to be worth it. My stats popped up by around 100-300 percent when I paid for subscriptions, and more importantly have remained reasonably consistent since. I am going to keep renewing and explore the blogcatalogoverse (try saying that 15 times , while spinning round drinking 5 shots of rum!) to see whats out there

Trying a Paid BlogCatalog listing for a month

Have paid for a month of BlogCatalog, the social network for bloggers, which seems an odd description in my tiny wee brain.

Reasons for doing this, well mainly to see if its a good driver to the site and $6 a month isn’t crippling (yet).

Also I’m an attention starved diva who needs more attention. The move to squarespace, has been on the whole benificial for creativebloke, mainly as I find it easier to post a lot more content. AAlso the site itself is a lot more indexable, and I have been pleased at how quickly relevant blog pages have been getting attention, therefore the site is in a place where I think the world deserves, some would say needs, to see it.

Will follow up in month to let you know if Blogcatalog is worth the £3.74p!

Are you a Squarespace user : How to add your site logo as a Homepage Icon for the iPhone

In all the excitement of switching to squarespace I forgot to move across the lttle PNG which allows creativebloke to have a recognisable Icon on the iPhone home screen.

Thankfully its dead easy, just use the ‘structions below:

Squarespace Community for Developers and General Users - Design + Coding - iPhone Home-Screen Icon: apple-touch-icon.png

Switching to loghound

As much as I love rapidweaver the blog function is a bit funky, thats the reason why I am switching to loghound. Thich will hopefully make updates a lot more frequent and make integrating new features easier
