Right well was feeling a bit down about my lack of creativity, so be warned world i have my camera armed with a 50mm now at all times.

This shot proved the point, i didn't notice the couriers face until i saw it in Aperture. he could just be changing lanes, literally and metaphorically.

Yes i could have knocked back the sky some more, but i like the nose of the horse, and also the way you find the horses eye's.

Post was a simple adjust using the 'Auto Enhance' preset in Aperture 3. What wasn't so simple was me teetering on a slippy grassy ledge elbows jammed in hedge, 'bricking it', as I'm not great with horses.

How I suffer for my art.

Tried a different take on yesterday's image, to see if i can fiddle with the Black and white, i feel the image maybe lacking a lot of contrast., hence this result. Want to see more presets available for Aperture 3 but this will come no doubt. I don't miss the NIK plugins yet...............but experimentation is half the fun i guess.

We had a long happy weekend of weddings and family, and kept the 1.4 ef bolted onto the front of the 7D. Love the 1.4, and its really starting to make me enjoy the 7d with the new focusing system, as well as the ability to just knock into video and capture some amazing moments.

This was from the first test of the new lens - the canon EF 50mm 1.4 USM, while I have had the 50mm 1.8, which I loved, I decided it was time for an upgrade to the 1.4, which is shockingly sharp, maybe even too sharp for aperture 3, as can be seen in the wookie's hair.

Also this lens work's nicely with the 7D, where its the equivalent of an 80mm.

the best photo from the shoot on Borderland was one taken of one of the pieces of kit we used. I found this image while pruning back my aperture library as i upgrade to Aperture 3.
