mike started his professional career as a small star wars addicted museum designer in 1995.

first spotted wandering off the train from scotland in a badly fitting suit by Objectives Museum Design. mike was thrown in at the deep end with clients such as The Science Museum and The Museum of the Moving Image.

it was when he moved to Event Communications that the digital media bug bit, when he was asked to produce a series of marketing renderings for the Dynamic Earth Exhibition in Edinburgh.

after a five year spell in museum and exhibition design, peaking with a period with Met Studio design. mike was offered the chance to work with the BBC’s new media centre of excellence in belfast, where he led creative projects for BBC Resources, Northern Irish Industrial Development Board, UK: Athletics and the international engineering group Invensys.

after the world’s of exhibition design and new media had been explored, mike was then given the opportunity to work in advertising, when he was made head of digital media for Navigator Blue, northern ireland’s leading full service advertisng agency. he worked on new media projects for amonst others Northern Bank, Translink and the Progressive Building Society. mike was also given the opportunity to create motion graphics for a series of the Irish News and Translink TV spots.

in 2006 that mike was asked to come back to the mainland to help Ralph Appelbaum Associates as the lead digital artist for the London office.

it was also at his time that creativebloke was born, now in its third year creativebloke has created a wide range of digital media material for clients in the UK and the US.
